CONVENTION REPORT
Two amendments to the CRTA Bylaws and Standing Rules were passed.

Amendment 1 changes the date an Area Director begins a new term from the start of the fiscal year (July 1) to the date they are installed at Convention.

Amendment 2 changes the name of the Community Services/Public Relations Committee to the Communications Committee.

was hard at work at the Convention.

Windfall Elimination Provision - HR
"Public Servant Retirement Protection Act - HR 4391 has been introduced that enhances Social Security worker benefits for certain public employees and others who paid into a government pension plan in lieu of Social Security during their service.

There are still plans to present the petitions for HR 594 to the members of Congress in July.
